How stock control works in an accessories shop
Bags, watches, jewellery and small leather goods mean many lines with very little stock on each — often one or two pieces. A single-item error is visible immediately, so counting has to be per piece, with a barcode on every line and a photo on the card.
Expensive pieces are best held individually so that a specific item keeps its own history: when it arrived, how long it sat in the window, and who bought it.
Stocktaking a large range
Counting two thousand small lines by eye is not possible. A stocktake is done by scanning, and Refresh shows the discrepancy line by line and closes the count with a document — with history, rather than a back-dated edit to the stock figure.
